About Puesto
Puesto serves some of the best tacos in San Diego, hands down. As well as some of the best ceviche. Guacamole. Margaritas. They do a lot well at Puesto. Their signature dish is their tacos on fresh blue tortillas lined with crispy melted cheese – a decadent addition to their carnitas, birria, or filet mignon tacos. They of course have a good fish taco too because this is San Diego. Wash it all down with one of their delicious margaritas or try their self-brewed beers. They have a huge tequila and mezcal list if you are a connoisseur.
Puesto has three locations in San Diego (if you don’t count their stand in Petco Park) – La Jolla, Mission Valley, and Seaport. The ambience is open and modern at all locations and the place is always lively. They are a well-loved local restaurant group for a reason.

A Closer Look
The first Puesto was opened in La Jolla, in 2012, by three local first generation Mexican Americans from La Jolla – Eric, Alan, and Andrew Adler, after teaming up with local chef Luisteen Gonzalez. Gonzalez was making the type of upscale tacos that Puesto is currently known for and the brothers brought their business acumen to the table to create one of the best multi-location restaurants in San Diego. They are ever expanding, so don’t be surprised to see a Puesto New York City one day. Puesto Mars. Who knows. But they are expanding for a reason – they have a winning formula and they stick to it.
