About Village Pizzeria Bayside
We can safely say that Village Pizzeria is the best pizza spot on Coronado because Village Pizzeria is the only pizza spot on Coronado. It is not the only place that makes pizza (there’s a couple Italian restaurants too), but it is the only true pizza spot on Coronado. Other than Dominos. Which is also great.
But the good news is Village Pizzeria also makes the best pizza on Coronado. As well as great wings, garlic knots, and calzones. The pizza is New York style which means it is the style we all know and love. They serve whole pies or by the slice. They also serve good beer here, as any respectable pizza joint should. (Other than Dominos. Which, again, great place).
Village Pizzeria has two locations on Coronado, but we are talking about their large outdoor restaurant at the ferry landing. They have a big patio with casual tables and plastic chairs with a great view of the bay and across to the San Diego skyline. Grab a slice and rest after a bike ride around the island or while waiting for the ferry back to San Diego.

A Closer Look
Village Pizzeria is run by the Blue Ridge Hospitality group who are responsible for several restaurants on Coronado, as well as the much loved Liberty Station Food Hall. Blue Ridge Hospitality is primarily run by local Coronado resident David Spatafore. He started his restaurant empire with a simple ice cream shop – Moo Time Creamery – on Coronado Island.
