San Diego is a surprisingly good pizza town and the best pizza spots in San Diego are spread across the city, as they should be. Most neighborhoods in SD have a decent pizzeria to call their own. To us, there is no ranking of "the best pizza" because there are so many variations and everyone has their own favorite. There is New York style slices, Detroit style pizzas, Chicago deep dish, fancy Neapolitan pies, Dominos thin crust, Dominos stuffed crust, Pizza Hut personal pan, etcetera. So this is just a list of the best pizza joints in the city, in no particular order.

And just remember, pizza is like sex - even when it’s bad it is usually pretty good.
