We want to bring you a better travel site – one that is more creative, thoughtful, honest, informative, and entertaining, and highlights San Diego’s unique neighborhoods and local establishments.
Why We Do This
It is hard to get good advice these days.
It is not necessarily hard to get advice (it is all over the internet), but it is hard to get good advice.
When In San Diego tries to offer good advice. Specifically, good advice on what to do while you are in San Diego, whether you were born here and never left or you are a first-time visitor from out of town. We provide unique recommendations and useful itineraries for exploring this city with a focus on locally owned businesses and lesser known attractions. We try to dig a bit deeper into the why of our recommendations so you can make informed decisions on how to spend your money and time.
We won’t be recommending SeaWorld, so don’t even ask.
Why Listen To Us
First off, don’t. Second off, we are local to San Diego and our recommendations are all based on personal experience. We are not paid or sponsored by anyone. We are not experts in anything. We try to be as objective and broad as possible in our recommendations, but we will always bring ourselves, with our inherent tastes and biases, with us everywhere we go. This is how it goes.
