About Surje Coffee Co.
Located in the heart of El Cajon, along the commercial Main Street, Surje Coffee is making some of the best coffee in El Cajon. They serve the usual espresso drinks, lattes and cappuccinos, alongside what they call coffee mocktails – flavored coffee creations that are a step above your typical vanilla bean latte at Starbucks. Surje Coffee brings a bit of cocktail culture to their coffee drinks and the flavors are subtle but delicious.
The shop shares a space with the East County Art Association art gallery where local artist are showcased on a rotating basis. There is a bench and some small tables, but overall the place has more of a communal vibe.

A Closer Look
Owned by local El Cajon couple Valerie and Chris, Surje Coffee is a mix of their roots. Surje means coffee in Armenian. This place hosts many local events including financial literacy classes and events hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. They truly are a community oriented business.
