About North Park Beer Company – Bankers Hill
Okay the hazy IPA craze is a little over the top, but don’t lie – you love them. And we do too. North Park Beer Company is producing some of the best hazy IPAs (and beers in general) in San Diego and they have been for years now. They specialize in the hazy, hoppy DDH and TDH IPAs, but they have a wide range of selections.
Their second location in Banker’s Hill, opened in 2023, is a beautiful, airy space that serves possibly the best burger in all of San Diego. The location is just outside Balboa Park, so perfect for lunch after a day in the park. They have plenty of booth space, as well as communal tables and outdoor seats. We like their award-winning Art Is Hard, but they are always coming out with newer and crazier and hazier and hoppier beers, so go nuts. We don’t know what DDH stands for, but it’s probably something like deliciously dank hops.

A Closer Look
Started by a local San Diegan and video game designer Kelsey McNair when he began brewing beers out of his garage in 2004, North Park Beer Company opened its first brick and mortar brewery in 2016 and has not looked back since. Still locally owned an operated by Kelsey and his also-former-game-designer wife Amanda, it is one of the best breweries in San Diego, if not Southern California. North Park Beer Co. is a local gem.
